Journalist minting money by blackmailing an IAS Officer

There is nothing like “morality” these days, when it comes to making money. One has seen this phenomenon in politics, film industry, sports and in extreme cases, in judiciary. Well, add one more to this list -- journalism.

It is now an open secret that values in journalism have gone down very much and some journalists have stooped to so low that they don’t even mind resorting to act as pimps to make a quick buck.

An episode of one such journalist has come to light recently, which has become hot topic, albeit in hush tone, in the media circles.

This particular journalist had made his “wife” sleep with an IAS officer, who was considered to be eyes and ears of the previous Y S Rajasekhara Reddy government.

Why we have mentioned the word wife in quotes was: she is not actually his wife, but a girl hired by the scribe to act as his wife. He had taken a fully-furnished house for rent for this woman in a prime locality and one fine day, invited the said IAS officer to the house. He introduced the woman as his wife, who served food and liquor to the officer and finally, herself.

The scribe shot the entire affair with a secret camera and started blackmailing the IAS officer.

The incident happened six years ago and in the last six years, the journalist made not less than Rs 2 lakh per month in the form of advertisements using the officer’s influence for his not-so-popular publication.

The officer could get rid of this scribe only recently, when he was transferred to some remote posting. Well, that is the real life story. Anybody wants to make a film?
