Really matters why Lok Satta is participating Pulivendula elections? Did JP think that CM Rosaiah called to all parties and asked not participate against YS Vijaya Lakshmi in Pulivendula byelections may not called to JP and asked? Is that the reason?
If that is the reason, JP should think about the public money that is involved if the elections requires, may be nearly around 2 to 3 crore rupees expenditure for these elections if Lok Satta stands against YS Vijaya Lakshmi.
The chances of Y S Vijayalakshmi, widow of late Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, getting elected Pulivendula MLA unanimously were scuttled on Tuesday, when Lok Satta announced that it would field a candidate in the by-elections.
It was rather surprising as the Lok Satta, which could not win even a single corporator seat in the recent Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections, thinks it can put up a fight in Pulivendula by-elections. Interestingly, the main opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Praja Rajyam Party, Communist Party of India-Marxist(CPI-M) have already announced that they would not contest the byelections to facilitate the unanimous election of Vijayalakshmi. And they also know that even if they contest, they cannot win the elections.
If Lok Satta is not confident of winning the elections, why should it force an election on the people, wasting so much public money on arrangements and polling? But LSP president Jayaprakash Narayan says his party will contest the byelections only to discourage family rule. Strange argument!
Vijayalakshmi filed filed her nomination papers in Pulivendula on Tuesday. Accompanied by her son and Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, her brother and Kadapa mayor Ravindernath Reddy, YSR's brother Y.S. Vivekanand Reddy and state minister G. Aruna Kumari, Vijayalakshmi filed her nomination papers before the returning officer at Pulivendula.
Before filing the nomination, she along with her son and other family members visited YSR's grave. Sitting by the side of the grave, Vijayalakshmi broke down and was consoled by her son.
I feel this is not good to Lok Satta President Jaya Prakash Narayan's future political life and name fame. JP think about it again again again!!! It is people's / public money!!!
