Leah is a country girl who wears her heart on her sleeve and when she discovers that Alianna is developing at a slower rate than her sister, she reaches out to Corey. Now that one of their daughters is sick, the two strengthen their bond, reconciling to be there and committing to one another. Her ongoing emotional tug-of-war with Adam keeps escalating, while her family and friends grow increasingly vocal about wanting him out of her life for good. Chelsea struggles to negotiate others' expectations with her own desire to provide her daughter with a loving family with both parents in the picture. As she vacillates between her dual roles as mom and teenager, she must decide if she's willing to sacrifice her youth and freedom for the sake of her son. Upon realizing she can't afford to fight her mother in a courtroom, Jenelle agrees to sign over custody of Jace temporarily. Trying to get her life on track, she enrolls in college classes, tries to support herself financially, and finds a new romance with Keiffer. However the path to success isn't as easy as she anticipates, and she finds herself battling Barbara to be allowed to spend time with her son and desperate to keep a roof over her head. The show chronicles the lives of four girls from the second season of 16 and Pregnant as they navigate their first year of motherhood.
