Former Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA Bandaru Sara Rani is facing the charges of seeking sexual favours from her car driver Suresh, according to reports.Sara Rani recently filed a case in the police station, alleging that her car driver Suresh had decamped with her gold and silver jewellery worth a few lakhs of rupees a month ago. The police finally arrested Suresh on Saturday.
In the interrogation, Suresh is learnt to have told the police that Sara Rani had filed a wrong case against him. He said Sara Rani used to force her to participate in sex with her, but he had refused. The harassment continued for quite some time, and unable to bear her sexual harassment, he ran away from her house. “Fearing that I would disclose the fact, she filed a false case against me,” he complained.
Sara Rani, who represented Parkal constituency in Warangal district during 2004-09, turned a rebel against TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao and was disqualified as the MLA in the last moment. She joined the Congress later, but did not get the party ticket in 2009 elections.
