TANA offers Short Film & Photography competition in 18th Conference - 2011

Telugu Association of North America (TANA) announces a Short Film and Photography competition as part of 18th TANA Conference. This unique, creativity-based, competition will showcase filmmakers from across USA, recognize the most creative talents, and recognize their work by bringing them to the attention of the Tollywood film industry, said Mr Sateesh Chilukuri, Conference Convener.

Film & Photography committee is conducting an Interactive Session with popular director Sekhar Kammula on Film making. Sekhar Kammula is known for making films, which have a rare combination of aesthetic values and commercial success. They are considered to be path breaking. He is known as the instigator of the new wave of Telugu films.

Film & Photography committee also conducting an interactive session with Stephen W. Oachs on Photography. Stephen W. Oachs is an award-winning photographer, successful entrepreneur and technology veteran. He was recognized in 2007 as wildlife photographer of the year by the National Wildlife Federation and was awarded best nature photographer in 2008 by National Geographic Magazine for his work photographing the endangered snow leopard.
