Well your argument sounds one sided. It is true neither China nor India's currency is fully convertible. But what country does not like to have competitive edge when it can afford to.
Even US provides subsidies to its farmers to make its agricultural products artifically competitive. Another example, US banned Indian steel companies from doing business in US, because Indian steel companies were providing better steel for cheaper price.
I am not saying that India and China are great. Just wanted to bring the other side of your argument to fore.
I do not think USA is losing ground. If China and India thinks that they are Really improving economy Why can't they make their currencies free Trade? Why are they artifically Keeping exchange rates. The reason is if really a country is stronger then currency should go up and US dollar should become weaker. But India and Cannot sustain as the export business will go down for India and China if their currency becomes too strong. So India and China are looking for US and europe Market. So inter dependence is always there. There is lot of speculation that India will exceed US in 2020. But it is far from true. For stronger Indian economy India needs US Consumption. For that USA needs to be stronger. May be lot of human resources are there in india. But that will be also resolved in another 20 Years because still Inflow is more than return to india. 80% of H1s are Indians apart from lot of L1 people.

How long I was associated with my current company, What was my previous job and job duties,How long I am in US etc.
I couldn't provide him the proof of the pay as I didn't had the pay stub to show him at that moment.
I asked him is this just rutine procedure ?He said this is recently started process to check H1B fraud.
Does any one else had same experience?

Please read the text in the USCIS page carefully. You need to clearly satisfy at least 3 criteria. In practice, you try to provide at least some evidence for most criteria.
Note also that you need to provide evidence of sustained fulfillment. E.g., suppose you want to show that
"Evidence that the alien has judged the work of others, either individually or on a panel;"
This is *not* satisfied, e.g., if you graded the papers of your students or did code-reviews! This is likely satisfied if you, e.g., were in an IEEE standards committee (especially if the standard becomes well known, e.g., IEEE 802.11, or Firewire, etc.). Similarly, if you just participated in a panel once, then the reviewer is likely to reject your claim; you really want to show that you regularly (e.g., once a month for last 3-4 years) participate in panels, etc. In my own case, I reviewed literally 100's of conference and journal papers, and was in the TPC of many conferences, and also participated in an NSF panel for reviewing proposals for funding.
The reviewer will want evidence for each criteria. Sometimes you may be able to use the same evidence towards more than one criteria, but generally it is not the case.
Finally remember that you need *very strong* recommendation letters from "well known" people *all over the world". Most people gets some letters from US, some from their home country, some from Europe, other countries, etc. I had about 10-15 letters from US, China, India, Netherlands, etc. The letter writer in each case must be very well known, and must hold a very high position (e.g., one of my letter writer was one of the heads of Philips research).
In any case, it does not matter what I or someone else thinks about your qualifications. What matters is what the reviewer of your petition thinks. What I would suggest is that if you feel that you have a good chance at EB1-A (e.g., in your own mind you believe that you truly satisfy 3 criteria), then hire a good attorney and start working on preparing your dossier. The cost will be about $7000-$10,000 (depending upon what attorney you choose). Attorneys will charge much more for EB1 petitions since they actually have to work on it (rather than get a para-legal fill-in forms, as done in EB2 applications). First a totally unrelated topic. Doesn't the portal send email notifications when someone replies to your post etc? I am a new member to this portal and was trying to find my post, but got lost in all the immigration related sites out there because I wasn't able to remember where I had posted :P . I really apologize if you thought that I had disappeared after posting.
Back to the main topic. Now my H1 and wife's H4 is transferred and extended. We have the approval notices with the new I-94's. I am really confused about the visa stamping question.
1] Do I first get our new H1B/H4's stamped (the old visa is valid till 10/2008. new one is valid till 10/2011)
2] Then get I-20 for my wife
3] Then get her F1 stamped.
Now the main question is, can I directly go for her F1 stamping, without the need to go through the intermediate step of H4 stamp. I ask this because the I-20 will be issued on the new I-94, but the stamp on the passport is still the old one. So basically what I want to do is, go to our home country, get my H1B stamped and simultaneously get her F1 stamped too. you have till december to find a job. thats 2-3 months. put all your energy to find a new job and ask the new employer to file H1B. if you can find a job in a good company you will have another stab at it. stay away from consultancies this time if thats what causing the rejection...you need to elaborate more on your situation to exactly know what your options are (field of study/experioence etc)....

there is a small shops complex there called chappan dukaan... very famous hangout place for all indorians... just remembered :)

I am hoping you can help me with my situation here. I had an appointment on Dec 19th 2008 at New Delhi consulate for extension of my H1B. Since I had a DUI in 2006, they told me to sumit medical report. When I submitted medican report on Dec 22, 2008 they told me they would review my report and tell me to deposit my passport if everything is fine (for visa stamping). They also told me that I don't need to come myself to deposit the passport. Since I had to get back to office, I left India and used AP to enter US.
I just received an email from consulate that I should submit passport at the ND consulate. I was thinking of sending it to my home in Delhi via courier so that my brother can submit it to consulate. Once consulate sends passport to my address in New Delhi, my family would courier it back to me. I wanted to check with folks here if that is fine.

At this time ONLY 30% of EB2 Indians have current PDs. I've asked this question before - don't you all think that maybe dates will not have to retrogress again? I mean, 30% is too low a percentage for triggering a backward movement of PD.

According to my knowledge it has to be after the college. You cannot be fulltime employed and full time student at the same time.
So in nutshell. B.S + 5 years exp (After completing BS) and also the job must demand for BS + 5 years exp.Else you cannot file under EB2.
Thanks guys... I believe my experiences are "progressive" (whatever that means) in a sense that during 5 years of work I progressed accordignly and to the level that the job description / ad for my position would require BS plus 5 years of experience.
What I don't get and was not quite sure about was the fact that 2 of those 5 years were during college. 5 years of experience is 5 years - I don't get why they would not like it. It is normal for people to work full time and go to college full time. When you get hired, if you have 5 years of full time experience, the prospective employer could not care less that 2 years of that were gained during last 2 years of college.
