Vadodara, Jun 21 : Pooja Chopra, Miss India World 2009, said that she is very eager to act with superstar Rajinikanth. She made her debut through Tamil flick “Ponnar Shankar.”
“Who would not prefer to act with this greatest superstar? It is a dream of everybody and though I am a Punjabi girl, I dream to act with him,” Chopra told on sidelines of inaugurating “Richfeel Trichology’s 4th Center here.
“He (Rajinikanth) is a highly respected superstar and nobody calls him by his name but address him only as a superstar,” she said.
Pooja played the role of a princess against Tamil actor Prashanth in “Ponnar Shankar”, scripted by former Tamil Nadu chief minister M Karunanidhi and directed by Thiagarajan.
“He (Karunanidhi) was a scriptwright and producer. As I liked the script, I decided to act in this movie. Prior to this, I had acted in some Dabur Honey advertisement films,” she said.
When asked about her experience as playing a princess in the Rs 60 crore-budget movie, the actor said,”I was very thrilled that I was donning the role of a princess in a Tamil film. Being a girl from Punjab, I was a bit scared. But Jayaram, Kushboo and Sneha were like a family and made me feel comfortable.” “I had no difficulty in speaking Tamil language as I used to work hard to prepare for dialogs given on paper,” said the actor who had featured in Times-50 most beautiful women at no.28.
