Monday, March 15th @ 6:30pm- Book talk & signing at my library, the Carroll University Library: Amelia Klem Osterud, Carroll University circulation and Web services librarian, will read from and sign copies of her new book, "The Tattooed Lady: A History," on Monday, March 15, 2010. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., the event is free and open to the public in the Second Cup Café in the Ganfield Browsing Room of the Todd Wehr Memorial Library, 200 N. East Ave., Waukesha. Books will be available for purchase and refreshments will be provided.
Wednesday, March 24th @ 7pm- Lecture & book signing at the Haggerty Art Museum, Marquette University: American Tattooed Ladies, 1882-1995 Presentation by Amelia Klem Osterud: In conjunction with the exhibition Freak Parade by Thomas Woodruff, Milwaukee author Amelia Klem Osterud will talk about her newly released book The Tattooed Lady: A History. The book chronicles the lives of women who made sideshow livings by displaying their bodies onstage in an era when even a bit of ankle was considered scandalous. Free and open to the public
