Lady GaGa has the most pretentious tattoo EVER

Today must be the day for showcasing new tattoos. Who knew? Not to be outdone by Posh (see this mornings post, tattoo fans) Lady GaGa has gone and got herself a brand new bit of body art – and the wording is about, ooh, four times as long as Victoria’s effort. GaGa got her latest inking during a midnight visit to a tattoo parlour in Japan, where she is currently in the middle of a tour of Asia. The understated etching on the inside of her left arm is a quote is from her favourite philosopher and poet Rainer Maria Rilke and reads: “In the deepest hour of the night, confess to yourself that you would die if you were forbidden to write. And look deep into your heart where it spreads its roots, the answer, and ask yourself, must I write?” Oh GaGa, you simply must - we would really hate to see you die from some terrible non-writing related illness.
