Rajinikanth's Rana is facing small problems from the first day of shooting. The film was stopped with unexpected delays right from the beginning. Initially it got delayed due to incomplete script works, followed by casting problems of female leads. After the launch of the movie on April 20, 2011 ,it got suddenly postponed due to the specially designed set for a song was not completed for the Muhurat shot. On the muhurat day , Rajini was hospitalized due to breathing related issues.
The shooting of the film has been stopped due to Rajini falling ill continuously for the second time in the same week. So keeping this in mind the filmmakers are in plans to go for a title change.
As per the recent buzz director KS Ravikumar is making arrangements to talk to a numerological expert regarding the title change. He is expecting that the title change might atleast help the cause and changes the fortunes of the film. It is also heard that Rajini also given his nod to the director's wish for the change of the title as he is a stronger believer in astrology and numerology.
Deepika Padukone is playing female lead role in this movie.
